rest is known through work
warmth is known though ice and wind
build without excess

Chapter 2 of the Tao Te Ching encourages us to reflect on the intentions of our work and the meaning of our emotional constraints. Our possessions, obsessions, misconceptions, and insecurities are entangled. Hold but don’t possess. See but don’t distort. Is it possible to build life and legacy without excess?

Work done without need for vain credit will last forever.
