Thirty spokes join in the center of a wheel –
it is the shape of the center that allows the wheel to work.
Clay is molded and dried to form a cup –
it is the emptiness inside that makes it useful.
We build a house of wood and brick –
it is the emptiness inside that becomes a home.
We work with resources of the physical world to build –
but it is the emptiness of the effort that serves us all.

My humble commentary:
The clutter of our lives fills important spaces that are meant to remain empty.
The empty space inside of a home is where life and love flourish.
I’m striving to clear the clutter in my heart to make space for a world that needs love.
