My hope is that this small collection will bring peace and a calm sense of joy to whoever finds it. Additionally, I hope that it can inspire creativity and act as a backdrop for freestyle poetry and expression. Peace and grace.

In choosing love and kindness, even in the face of adversity, we can become a quiet but essential force in the world’s transformation. The practice of striving to be better than we are is both a gift to ourselves and an offering to the Soul of the World. I’d love to hear from you in the comments if you feel called to join me on this journey.

Unlearn the lie that we must rush for a harvest. Spring will come. Flowers will bear fruit. Summer will give us all that we need. And then the beauty of Fall will prepare us for the quiet stillness of Winter. All flowers, seeds and leaves will fall and enrich the soil for next year’s fruit. The process is beautiful and complete. Rushing will do nothing but cause anxious trouble, trampling the soil – making it more difficult for the vine to grow strong.

It’s now time to unlearn our preconceived notions of power. Purposefully embrace your power to bring joy into this world for the people that you love and beyond. Create safe spaces. See the love and powerful potential in the people around you. “The wise hold closely to three treasures — love, moderation, and humility. Love and compassion allow you to be brave. Moderation allows you to give yourself to others. Humility lets you improve and find your greatness.” TTC, Chapter 67.

I fall short of wisdom and greatness – over and over again. Looking back, each time that I fall, there's a pull away from generosity and toward ego. Every stumble along the path ignores the call of love and seeks something different – something based on fear and insecurity. Generosity and love must be the drivers of ambition and aspiration. Only generosity and love can calm the inevitable storms of life.
